Banquet Captain

DESCRIPTION:

The Captains will be responsible to manage the Banquet Servers and Bartenders that work at the Private Events at our Country Club. Captains will also be accountable to the Host who is sponsoring the Event and also to all of the Guests who attend the Event. You will work with the Private Events Director to coordinate the Event activities and also the Executive Chef in making sure that the food provided exceeds the expectations of the Host and their Guests.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum 2 years prior experience as a Captain or other supervisory position.
2. Must have the ability to communicate in English. Understanding of the Spanish language would be a plus.
3. Knowledge and implementation of Meal and Rest Break law.
4. Customer service experience.
5. Knowledge of table etiquette.
6. Weekday, weeknight and weekend work available.

Banquet Server

DESCRIPTION:

The Banquet Server will work with other employees to provide quality food service to the Guests and Members who have Private Events held in one of our Banquet Rooms.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

1. Banquet and/or restaurant experience preferred.
2. Ability to carry large trays and balance light to heavy loads (up to 30 lbs) on the trays. Ability to carry the trays through a crowded room on a continuous basis.
3. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
4. Knowledge of table etiquette
5. Must have the ability to communicate in English.
6. Weekday, weeknight and weekend work available.

Bartender

DESCRIPTION:

The Bartender will work to provide quality food and drink service to the Guests and Members who drink in our Members Grill and also at any or our Private Events held in one of our Banquet Rooms.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum 2 years prior experience as a Bartender.
2. Responsible for liquor cost and inventory control.
3. Knowledge and implementation of regulations regarding the responsible service of alcohol to our Guests and Members.
4. Knowledge of beer, wine and alcohol.
5. Excellent customer service.
6. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
7. Must have the ability to communicate in English.
8. Ability to use P.O.S. systems.
9. Weekday, weeknight and weekend work available.

Line Cook

DESCRIPTION:

The Line Cook will work with other employees to provide quality food to the various food venues within our Country Club including the Snack Bar, Members Grill, Sierra View Restaurant and Banquet Rooms.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum 2 years of related experience.
2. Ability to operate the following equipment: Convection and conventional oven, fryer, broiler, salamander, and slicer.
3. Ability to read food orders in English.
4. Ability to follow verbal and written orders in English.
5. Ability to prepare menu items according to the Company’s standards and Supervisor’s direction.
6. Banquet and restaurant experience.
7. Weekday, weeknight and weekend work.

Golf Course Maintenance

DESCRIPTION:

Sierra La Verne Country Club, A private golf club located in La Verne, CA, is looking for a person to work in the golf course maintenance department. The person should be physically fit in order to perform the duties required of this job. Weekend work is also required.
